Various tech companies come to Mobile World Congress with a slew of innovative products. At MWC 2024, we saw everything from AR gaming glasses to a transparent laptop concept. But one product that captured eyes (and hearts), was Chinese smartphone company, TECNO’s cyberdog, the TECNO Dynamic 1. In this article, we’ll answer the searing question: What is TECNO Dynamic 1?
What is TECNO Dynamic 1?
The Dynamic 1, is the company’s first cyberdog, which is based on a German Shepherd. The robot dog mimics natural dog behaviour, with precise movements, and playful antics. It is artificial intelligence (AI) enabled, and hence is one of the smartest robot dogs.
TECNO Dynamic 1 Specifications
The cyber dog is built keeping a real dog’s figure in mind, and hence is said to be sporting a cutting-edge biomorphic design. It leverages the AI HyperSense Fusion System, which enables it to behave and act just like a real dog.
Apart from that, the robot dog sports a 15,000 mAh inbuilt battery that can power it non-stop for 90 minutes. On the hardware front, it supports a 45 N.m/kg peak joint torque, for those super smooth, quick and precise movements.
What is AI HyperSense Fusion System
The AI HyperSense Fusion System is a combination of hardware and software tech, that makes the Dynamic 1 capable of doing all that it does. Key elements of the system are:
- An 8-core high performance ARM CPU
- An Intel RealSense D430 Depth Camera Module
- A bunch of Binocular Sensors, and
- A few Infrared Sensors
Together these ensure that the robot dog has a stable movement, quick responses, precise navigation, and rapid post-fall recovery, among others.
What all can the cyberdog really do?
Remember, we mentioned hardware that sports 45 N.m.kg peak joint torque? Well, what that really does is it enables the robot dog to effortlessly go up and down stairs, jump, do a handstand, and even shake hands with humans.
Talk about having a robot dog with all the quirks and antics of a real dog. We think this is super-cool.
TECNO Dynamic 1 Connectivity
The Dynamic 1 supports connection both via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and hence it can be operated via a mobile app as well as remote controllers. But that’s not it, it also has support for voice commands, hence the users can give it instructions via voice commands, as well.
Additionally, with the help of the cameras on the robot dog, users can capture images and videos, remotely, via the mobile app.
TECNO Dynamic 1 Availability
As yet, TECNO hasn’t confirmed if it will make Dynamic 1 available for the masses to buy or if they’ll use it to just showcase, innovate and test AI and robotics within the company. Nonetheless, it looks like a strong concept, and we really hope that in the near future it does make its way to the mass market.
