Palworld, the highly anticipated survival game, was finally released on 19th January 2024. The game, which is also being referred to as ‘Pokémon with Guns’, is currently available to play in preview mode. It stands to offer players a thrilling and immersive gaming experience, but really, the question is – what consoles or platforms is Palworld available on?
What Platforms is Palworld currently Available on?
At launch, the company behind Palworld, Pocket Pair Inc. has offered the game via Xbox Game Review and Steam Early Access, so as you can guess, as of right now, the game can only be played on the Xbox Series X, Series S, One X, One S, and Microsoft Windows (PC).
Notably, on the Xbox (the service, not console), it is even easier to pick up, since it has been available on the Xbox Game Pass, since day-one. While, if you decide to pick it up from Steam, you’ll have to buy.
Is Palworld Available on Playstation 5 or 4?
Unfortunately, at the launch, Palworld is not available on Playstation 5 or Playstation 4 consoles, and the gaming community isn’t very thrilled about it. So, if you are on team blue, you’ll have to wait till the title gets a release date for Playstation consoles. In fact, the company hasn’t released any info on Palworld release date for PS5 or PS4.
While that makes the game’s availability clear for the major consoles or platforms, what about the other platforms?
What about Palworld Nintendo Switch Release Date?
Unfortunately, Pocket Pair Inc. has not commented anything on when the title will be made available to the Nintendo Switch users. That being said, it doesn’t mean that the game will never make it’s way to the other platforms. It’s just a matter of time.
And since the game was made available on Xbox’s popular subscription service, the Xbox Game Pass, from the very first day, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that there could be some sort of exclusivity deal between the game publisher and Microsoft; however, neither of the companies have made anything along those lines, official.
Is Palworld available to Play on Mac?
Officially, Palworld has not been released for Mac devices, but there is a work-around, using which Mac users can get the game running on their beloved Apple computer, albeit, not at the highest settings.

Is Palworld available for Android and iOS?
A number of apps and games and have started popping up on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Palworld’s official X (Twitter) account tweeted a message informing that no version of Palworld has been created for any of the mobile device or operating systems.

When will Palworld come out on other Platforms?
As gamers, what we need to understand, is that, Palworld being exclusive to Microsoft platforms does not mean it will never be available on other consoles or gaming platforms in the future. Many games start with a limited release and gradually expand to other platforms based on their success and popularity. And the rumours of another Xbox exclusive, Hi-Fi Rush coming to other platforms, only strengthens our belief that Palworld, too, will have a similar future.
But, for now, if you have an Xbox or a PC lying around, and are subscribed to the Game Pass, you should just go ahead an try out this amazing survival game, right away. Others, we believe, will have to wait a little.
